Nightlight—I believe they are building some bypass at Cross Street that will eventually link up with the Marina Bay area.

Thanks for doing this series, I like these a lot. I have a recently acquired Summicron coll. that I have to test. How is the condition of your lens?

Huh? A lot of what? I must not be seeing it than. 3d?
However, I will agree - it's sharp enough, but so are many lenses. Plus we dont know what f-stop was used. Stopped down even my I-22 can deliver great results. If they are all wide open - well - good lens, but there are many others I'd prefer to it.

heh, I needed a medium contrast compact F2 so it suits nice to my summicron 1979. I don't mind buy older, even uncoated lenses. But those images blow me out. This Collapsible just handle daylight pictures at nice way, differently to my cron. I sense glow there. it is cool. If images dont please you at same way as for me, it is fine because it has to be. We don't need think same 🙂 So it is not my problem that you don't see 3d 😀 Sorry.
I have I-22 too but it is not pleasure to use. I have to mod something there so it could work at infinity. So we dont rely only on optics. Russian lenses are horrible to handle.

Steve—this is a collapsible Summicron 50/2, made in 1956 (judging from the serial number)
Jja—thanks for looking! The front and rear elements of mine are pristine, no cleaning marks, and it appears that it's been cleaned before, so no haze inside either. There are two 'droplet' looking marks inside, that look like coating defects, but those don't seem to affect pictures.
Krosya—I didn't keep detailed notes, but with the exception of the last photo (that was using f/2), the rest were made between f/2.8 and f/5.6.
Tomasis—I'm not sure about the 'glow' and three-dimensionality of the pictures, but I like the results from this lens.
Certainly, it is less contrasty than my Summicron-M (the current version with built-in hood), but most of my lenses stopped down to this degree, as Krosya says, are all very good.

Thank you Justin. Mine is older, but also in really great shape. Hopefully, I'll get around to shooting with it soon. If you have any film photos (color or b&w), I'd love to see them. I am really impressed with what the RD-1 can do with all the lenses you've shown us recently.
