Al, Nick, Jeff, John and any new or old Philadelphia area RFF folk!
Is there any interest in a get-together on a Saturday or Sunday in September or October? Bring a few old cameras, but keep it light. Would the Irish Pub at 1123 Walnut Street work? It's easily accessible from the Market Street Station. The phone there is (215) 925-3311.
Nick and Al, we'll have an opening toast to Yashica fixed lens cameras and any others folks might be interested in. We can then walk about and shoot. City Hall is convenient as are the Parkway, Front Street, South Street and many other locations.
Let me know what you think. Looking forward to seeing everyone there.
Respectfully,
Jeff Greene

I just saw this today. I'll be available most Sundays in September, and may be back in Philly full time for most of October. I know Nick wants to see the Canon P I bought recently, and it does need a trial run.

Not only Nick, I'd like to see it as well! Did you get the 50 F.95 to go with it? Just kidding! Let's definitely plan in it, Al. There are a lot of things going on in September and October in Philly. Let's plan on a Sunday.

Will be in Hainesport, NJ as of Sept 12 for who knows how long....perhaps I can be the representative of your neighbors up north? (I'm pretty sure more than half the Flyers are Canadian anyways...

I currently have an Industar for it, although I do want to get a Canon 50 of some type eventually. Most likely I'll get a 1.8 or 1.4, but we'll see what's available when I am in the market for a lens.

I have the Canon 1.9 (not so good), Canon 1.8 (surprisingly sharp and contrasty) and the Canon 1.4. The 1.4 is my favorite. KEH has a few available for a fair price. Make sure you bring the new Canon. How does the Sunday after Labor day sound (9/7)? Remember that RC I picked up for $5 at the show. John Hermanson CLA'd it. I'm not wild about it and will probably be selling most of my fixed lens rangefinders in the next month or so. I've definitely got to downsize. I've far too many cameras I'm not using.

I'll most likely end up with a 1.8, as I shoot outdoors a lot. Were I looking to shoot low light, I'd go for the 1.4.
9/7 sounds good to me. Let's see who else is interested.

I won't be available again for a few weeks as I'm now working Sundays until 5:00AM in NYC, but maybe there are a few who are interested in meeting on either Saturday the 13th or Sunday the 14th?

Perhaps the 14th? Will it be at the same place? I don't yet have an idea as to what my wife has planned for the weekend, but if this is a go I'll try and attend.

I'll be there and hopefully, Al. Hopefully, we'll have more interest. John (Huffy) if you're out there please, consider joining us. Of course, this extends to Nick and anyone else interested in a few hours of camera chat and some photography to follow.

The 14th should be good for me, I have about 10 frames left on this current roll of film. So it will be good to go out.

I'm still not sure yet. If I get out of work at 11:00PM, I'll be able to get to Philly somewhere in the 12:00 to 1:00 timeframe. If I end up having to work the later 11:00PM to 7:00AM Sunday shift, I'll probably try to go over to Brooklyn to catch Barret's showing. I'll post an update here a PM you sometime after 11:00PM Friday night.
I still have the GSN here with me, but if I get home I can throw the Canon P in the bag and bring it with me.
