Hi All;
I am bidding on a Durst M606 enlarger on a certain site, and the person selling it is not entirely sure if a negative carrier has been included, he has added the following pic to the site, but I am not sure if this is a negative carrier or a filter drawer. Any opinions would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Kevin

I've got two 606's downstairs, and have the instruction sheet somewhere (I think)... I'll take a look and see how the one that's listed compares with mine, or if you need/want any parts let me know. I kind of want to get rid of them.

Hi;
Thanks for the reply, if they are complete I would definitely be interested?
Let me know.

The picture is extremely tiny but from what I can see this is the neg carrier with the included condensor lens which you put into the enlarger. If you do 6x6, this is all you need. It also has sliders in it, so you can crop the image from the neg. If you use 135, you either need the inserts for that, or else you can print full frame with borders. Remember that the lensboards are either 25 or 39 mm thread. The 39 mm ones are a right b*tch to find. I've have been looking for a year (still looking!) for a flat one to use with 6x6. The 25 mm lensboards can be used with the Schneider lenses, which still are pretty good, I think. Here's a manual: http://gbchcf.free.fr/

Feel free to ask, if you got other questions.

EDIT: if it is the one on the 'bay at the moment, it has the 39 mm lensboard for the 50 mm lens. Can't remember now if this work with a lens longer than 50, though.

I have the 606, the piece is ok. Get it, the condensor housing has a set of sliders for cropping that are the most useful thing ever put on a negative carrier. Grab it !!

Kevin and I were trying to work out shipping a 606 up to Canada, but it looks like that's not going to work out.

I've got a 606 in complete and "pretty good" condition (was in storage and it needs to be cleaned up before use), some extra parts, and a 4-in-one easel boxed up and ready to go if anyone wants it.

It's FREE, but you pay shipping. If you threw a couple rolls of B&W 35mm/120 my way to cover the cost of packing materials, that would be cool.

I'd put an ad in the classifieds, but I thought listing it here would be OK considering it's FREE. I'd put it up on craigslist, but considering it's already packed I thought I'd see if any RFF'ers want it.

PM me for more info, my thread subscriptions don't seem to be working right.

Kevin - that looks like a smaller version of the negative carrier for my Durst 609. The chrome knobs on the bottom left and bottom right are used to crop the neg.

The Durst 609 is a 6x9 enlarger - I also have a M605, which I use for 35mm and 6x6.

Well it looks like I just came into another couple boxes of 606 parts, so I'm probably going to have to re-evaluate the whole "free enlarger" offer. If anyone is really interested, let me know... At the moment I think I might part them out on ebay.
