Hi...new to this forum, so forgive me if this has been discussed before. Is there a relatively easy fix for a dial that no longer selects the frames, or partially selects the frames? I've bought three Canon 7's from KEH (all EX) and all three now have the same problem, but it's too late to return them (more than three months ago).

BTW, I have had to return many (9) recent KEH purchases for defects that I found but they did not. No problem, except for the disappointment and time wasted. I emailed them and urged them to improve their Q/C, but I never received a response.

Don't know if I'd call this easy, but you'll probably have to take off the top plate to see what's loose/disconnected. If you have the right tools, removing the top plate isn't terribly difficult. If you don't, it will be best to send the camera out to a good repair tech.

I have bought two KEH items, both defect, one is a Nikon RF lens apterture start to form a irregular shape ring then give up totally, second a RTS, the mirror will not flip when mout a lens. and their grade stat to down to the ebay grade, not few years ago, an EX will suprise you. and worse thing is their wen no pictures.

to your question
1. use a spanner to countclock turn out the flash PC connector ull out
2. a screw on the right side, take out
3. film advance, use a spnner to take out
4. speed dial turn to 1/15 position and film speed ASA400, from the three hole loose the screws you do not need to take them out
5. shutter release collar, loose three set screws pull out
6. pull the top cover out, do not disrupte the metter assembling connection, you can mark or take a picture
on you left side on top the RF there are a piece of metal has a hole on it, when you move it the frame will be change, if not CLA the link
7. when put the top cover back CLA the select from the inside of the top cover, move the select to 35mm, and the matel with a hole near the big hole on the RF (the big hole's relationship can be seen oinside the top cover.
