So I just bought a 35SP off of another forum member of fredmiranda. I am really looking forward to using it and getting my feet wet with rangefinders. This is my first one and I was considering this or the Canon GIII QL17. I went with this one because it recently had a CLA so it should be in good working order.
Really excited for this

Excellent, don't forget to post first pics (and beyond) here.
The Canonet is ok, but what you have here is a real gem.

I will of course post my first pics, though since this is the first time I am using a rangefinder I expect many failed attempts in my first roll.

Such small RF-Cams are beautiful!

I predict you will love it. It handles beautifully, the lens is very good, and the spot metering is brilliant. The only drawbacks are the shutter could be quieter (the shutter design is the culprit here) and the meter could be more sensitive for low light to take advantage of the fast lens.

So it just came in today. Later I'm going to load up its first roll of film that I have lying around. I think I only have a couple of rolls of slide film right now. I would really like to get some B&W TriX or something of the sort though. Very excited and its in beautiful condition (I think).

Congrats on your SP. I have the SPn version (which I'm still not sure what the difference is). A slide film might actually be a good test roll to use so you know if the meter is fairly accurate or not.

This is a fantastic camera, and was also my first RF. Congrats, you'll love it.

So I just went out and shot a roll of slide film today and will be looking to develop it very soon. I am interested to see the results and see if I was able to get focus down on the shots
Also interested to see how well the meter works and if I will want to have my light meter handy just in case.
Rangefinders definitely have a different feel to them than SLR's and I feel that I will like having the option to go back and forth between the two.
