I recently bought a Biogon 35/2 lens. I currently have a voigtlander vented lens hood on it... mainly just to act as protection of the front element. However, I'd prefer something smaller than the lens hood.
Does anyone make some sort of nose piece/bumper that mounts onto the bayonet mount on the front of the lens?
I've also seen a brief note on the CameraQuest site about a "small round lens hood" that fits onto the Voigtlander 35/1.4 (which I believe is the same bayonet as on the Biogon). Has anyone used one of those?

Two ideas. Buy a rubber hood and hack it off to the length you want. Or, buy a cheap ass filter and take the glass out.

Third idea: get a generic screw-in metal wide angle hood (43mm?), cheap enough from the 'bay, good enough to serve as a fender, and small. Then with luck you can find a cap it to fit it (Schneider* plastic push ons come in a range of sizes).

I have a couple of very short black metal "bumper hoods" on some of my 40.5mm diameter lenses. They were made by Rodenstock. Threaded, not bayonet, but they might make them in 43mm as well.

Thanks everyone for the ideas. I may go the route of a 43mm threaded hood (the short Rodenstocks sound interesting, or the generic versions out there). But first I want to find out if anyone makes something that locks onto the bayonet mount on the front of the Biogon lens. That way, I get the benefits of a small hood, the 'bumper', and protection of the bayonet mount as well.
I'll let you all know if I find something soon.

The 40/1.4's hood fits the 35/2, but it's probably too deep. The 35/1.4's hood should work fine.
