Does anyone know of any charger that will charge the R-D1s battery via USB? I think that other cameras use the same battery, maybe one of them has a USB charger? Maybe there's some way to hack it?
I spend a lot of time away from grid power and it would be really useful to be able to charge via solar or computer.

Yes, Sunpak makes a USB charger for this purpose. Not sure if it's compatible with your Epson battery charger. The model is: TRAVEL-ADAPT. Check it out. If you can't locate one, I have two, so I can part with one. Costs about $20 or so.

kk - I don't think that's what I'm looking for. I need a charger that charges the battery from a USB source.
DougFord - I am frequently away from 120v AC for long stretches at a time. I can always find somewhere to plug in, but it's not convenient. I can charge via USB from my computer, a wall socket (with adapter), and a small portable solar panel I have. Having all of my devices chargeable via USB means that I can pack very efficiently.
