Ehh, excuse me, thats my camera...
Yup, I was hired for some interior design work and props for Ikea last fall and I sneaked in some of my cameras. I also placed a Yashica 124G in another hallway, but it was removed in postprocessing (lots of things disappear or show up there...). They probably thought it looked to old. The 1954 S2 stayed in the picture though. I don't know if it's trendy, well maybe now.Trendsetter, moi?
The Ikea studios, in the small town of Älmhult in the middle of nowhere, is an amazing place. Entire homes are built in a few days, the photographers mount their H2's and the art directors come running, look at the screens and nod and the next day the home is gone. In the middle of the building there is a warehouse with all the sofas, lamps and spoons ready to be collected by uniformed staff with long list and delivered to the photo sites around in the building. I think they've got about 15 full time employed photographers and hire an extra 10 when the catalogue production peaks. The communications offices in an adjoining building house employees from all over the world. I talked to a copywriter from Kentucky who told me it was like working in an ad agency in Manhattan, until You went out for lunch...

I've been wondering if someone on RFF would notice. I even thought of arranging a "find the RF"-contest here.
