I think you need to edit the title of the thread to: "Richer by 250mm"![]()
I hadn't thought of that. Thanks. You are quite right!

Well, I have the two items I purchased. I am richer by some nice Fujinon glass. I look forward to trying the 35mm. That is not a lens I favor. Not a normal, nor as wide as I like. But it is a Fuji, and I want to compare it to a 35mm Yashinon I have and haven't used in 30 years. I also have another 50mm f/1.4 now. Well, probably my daughter does. Also a 28mm for her. They will be useful with the ST 801 I lent her and she fell in love with.
But what I was most interested in was the 250mm lens for my Mamiya Super Press 23. It looks good. The shutter speeds all sound OK. I will get around to testing them whenever I get around to making a test as described by Ed Romney in his book.
That thing is hugh!!!!
It feels equal in weight to the Press 23 with 100mm lens and 6x7 back. This is not your every day walk around lens. I should have known. After all, it is an f/5. The 50mm has a filter size of 72mm. I had forgotten this thing has a filter size of something like 82mm or 85mm. That is a big front lens element.
I look forward to using it and showing some photos taken with it, as soon as my doctor clears me to carry it.

I once bought a Mamiya Press with lens at a pawnshop for $25, which I then sold for twice as much!

Wow, Raid. If it was in good shape, you made somebody happy. Ever wish you had kept it?

Not really; I went through so many cameras the past 20 years, and I still have way too many left. The camera was in excellent shape. It came with a cut-film back and a lens.
