Bessa R4 Viewfinder Screw Size

One of the screws fell out and disappeared from my R4A. Does anybody know where I can get another? Do any of you have the screw size and thread size handy?

i would contact stephen directly. he does repair work on the cv products he sells so he might have spare parts for sale as well.

Already did 🙂 He says to contact a local camera repair shop. I'm sure he could fix it, but at the expense of not having my camera for a few weeks 🙁

This is somewhat similar to my question here although I needed the screwdriver not the screw.

Robert White sent me a screw.

But in the meantime I took the camera to an optician and they fitted a screw that was 'good enough'.

There are no camera shops where I live but there are opticians and they use small screws too.

Now I check that screw is tight every week or so.

Just to add...

1 The eyepiece tends to unscrew itself and disappear also. New ones cost €27 delivered.

2 As well as the screw we're talking about here there is a second one not immediately obvious as you need to remove the eyepiece to access it. That one gets loose too.

Robert White sent the screw free of any charges.

Stephen Gandy surely must have these screws and can send one out, then all you need is the screwdriver we were discussing in the other thread.

Those missing screws are not something I normally stock because you are the first person who has requested them from me.

Anyway, they are now in transit and will arrive at CameraQuest next week.
