Very nice. I was there in '93. Here are a few from that trip, before I had an M8.2...

I hope to get back there one day, and take the DRF with me. It's an incredible country.

How did the M8 handle the cold?

How did the M8 handle the cold?

Having traveled to Mount Everest myself in 2001, I know that the cold can be a big problem. How did the M8 perform in the cold of the Khumbu region?

oooh where were you staying?

I lived in patan north of kathmandu for a while

I was there still last year when it all started kicking off a couple of weeks before the elections....to be honest everything feels 'closer' in a country like that. I think it's just something you accept in going there.

Keith, I went upto 3600 mts. M8 = no problem. Wife went to kala pathar and a little beyond with her dlux-4. only problems she faced were batteries.

Regards.

Alice, thanks for looking. I avoided high altitudes..the wife went upto around 5800 mts. I was moving around the lower heights. Nagarkot, Bandipur and the like.

Best.

Very nice photos. I especially like the last one, of the older lady carrying a load. Thank you for sharing.
