I happen to know he has more than one set after this one sells, with some choices of which 16x20 Barnack pic.

That is a good price. I sold mine, barely used (I guess they are ALL barely used. I doubt anyone has taken more than a roll or two) at got about $1500 or so, I think. I have the picture framed here in my office.
It's a great, fun camera and honestly for a few hundred bucks I'd still have one to putz around with. But for $1500 or so out they go.
BTW, I not only got the image I wanted when I bought it new, I got number 100 of the 100 made, so I am guessing the value will be in the image in the years to come.

Mine came to me (third owner) quite used, and I've continued giving it regular use. Just ran another roll from it Monday.

I want one... just cannot justify spending that amount of money on another toy.

Looks to be a 2004 'prototype 2' with the excellent optical viewfinder which is head and shoulders better than the flip-up gunsight of the O1. Not a bad deal.
A fine, simple weapon once you get the sensuously-smooth, dark-age mechanics down pat.

The best camera is one that still works!
I remember there was one of these for sale on p.net a couple of years ago and the guy was asking $800.00 for it!
It didn't seem legit and it sat there for ages ... I PM'd him and he seemed to me to be straight up and struck me as someone fairly well off who had bought a toy for loose change and didn't care what he got back for it now that he reasised it was not his thing.
I'd still rather spend my money on a good Standard personally ... much easier to use and the 'real thing!' Mind you, to me this does make more sense than the a la carte monstrosities and other commemorative hoopla they market!

My feeling as well. I mean, that is a very good price so far as it goes. But...
If I find one at, oh, St. Vinnies

Tricky camera to use though, with the non-capping shutter. But I understand that the lens is superb.
I'd love to have one. Already have a 1a, and Standard, so I'm good. But would love to see how good the lens is on the "O".
