Seriously now and 'fess-up; have you ever put together a cheesecake or beefcake calendar and did it turn out to be waayyyyy more work than fun or what?
I remember working as the photographer's assistant on at least one such calendar, years ago, an analog shoot on a industrial construction site, and by the time we were finished, everyone was cold, wet, dirty and just flat out, worn out, except maybe the art director and tool company rep!
Cheers

I can't imagine that they'd put up with film workflow for something like that. Gotta be digital.
In my experience, a lot of things that look like a blast on the surface are pretty hard to do. I play music ... for every hour on stage (which is a blast) there are two or three sitting around in a smokey bar waiting to go on. Tedious. Not to mention all the heavy lifting involved in load-in, load-out. I might spend an hour and a half hauling gear, and two hours chilling in the bar to get one good hour of music on stage.

Yeah must have been "murder" to "shoot" the Rack Girls, but I'll be spending my time with their "Ultimate Rut Guide" in the fervent hope I can make one of the big boys eat dirt; it is deep:
"Make no mistake; during the rut, you still have to do some legwork if you want to make one of the big boys eat dirt. For most of us, work and family obligations cut into our scouting and hunting time."
Sounds a little like photography, no?

Some of us appreciate the racks on blacktail deer too.
Did Sarah Whutzername supply any Alaskan racks?

The funniest thing along these lines was a nude set I once saw with the model being shown using a Mamiya TLR with an older flash that had an enormous battery pack in a shoulder bag. It just always seemed to be strategically placed too
Wish I knew where I found that one.

I think that was one of her major functions on the campaign trail.

A nice collection of non-typical racks.
<dramatic pause>
And the antlers aren't bad either.

The backgrounds look faked. And so do some of the foregrounds.

I shoot a lot of nudes and yes, it is one heck of a lot of work. The people who did that don't seem to have put much into it though. All pretty much the same poses and the same lighting. They probably shot the whole thing in about 4 hours.
