A recent trip to Tokyo, bringing the LTM CV50/1.5, LTM CV15/4.5 and the Leica M28/2. It turns out the M28/2 to be my favourite, and here comes one of it from the set :
Hope you enjoy the whole set and comments highly appreciated :

Totemo ii shashin desu. Onnanoko wa kirei desu. Leica no hikaru mimasu.

Totemo - very
ii - good (say "eeee")
shashin - photograph
desu (u silent) - is
Onnanoko - little girl
wa - a particle like a verbal comma used after the subject when verb is "to be" - desu.
kirei (pronounce "r" very hard - like a "d" key-day) - pretty
Leica - Lecia
no - Japanese "possessive" like Nick" 's". Used more often and differently in Japanese. hikaru = glow. Literally translates, "Leica's glow". We would say "The Leica glow is"
mimasu (again, u is silent - me mass) = see.
|
Japanese grammar is subject, object, verb. Kinda like Yoda. Verb comes at the end. Also no "future tense". I will go to the store tomorrow... (English); Tomorrow (ashta wa) (I - dropped, pronouns picked up by context - usually not used, only used for emphasis), mise (store) ikumasu (go, say achey mas, "u" silent). Literal translation - tomorrow store go. Japanese is a "drop" language.

Thanks for posting. My favourite are the three people in the underground staring at their cellphones.
Whatis she holding? Of course a Zeiss Ikon Ikoflex with the 75mm Novar triplet. The release button is visible on the right (in your pic left) side of the waistfinder.
Please keep themcoming....Your series and a cup of hot chocolate with Amaretto just made my morning.
Greetings from Vienna
PS: I am sure if you would have used film this series would have become amonumental commentary on life in 2009 (irony intended ;o9 )
