Nah, it's all about the people, the faces of hope. I just got a note from Dwayne's that my film will be back tomorrow....nervous about what I got...

I was just plain lucky. Left home around 10 am, walked down 19th St and wandered onto the Mall. Didn't get home until 2:30 pm, and nearly froze important parts of my body beyond repair. But it was a real high, even for a Canadian. Here is a link to my faves (finally got them sorted):

Wow! Absulutely brilliant phtography! Captures the moment and more.
Very appropriate to the occasion.

Also, I bought a roll roll of Kodachrome inspired by your earlier posts.
I must put it to good use in my M2 soon.

I shot in DC from 2 PM Monday until 5 PM Tuesday before I got any sleep. I was one of the first 100 people at the front of the non-ticketed viewing area on the National Mall at around 2 AM. Before that, I took photographs of and helped the guys line the parade route with the barrier fencing to get through the night.

All I had with me was a M3, M6TTL, 15 CV, 28 Summicron, 35 Lux and 50 Lux, 45 rolls of Kodachrome, SF-20 flash and a Domke vest.

My film made it safely to the lab today, I can't wait to get it back.

I made the trek from Colorado...

My hat off to you, Sir.

Thanks for the kudos guys! Doing it is always much better than just talking about it.

So speaking of which, I have created an invite only group on Flicker for those who are in for the project to show work for evaluation, critiques, visual reference and just to plain old see how we are doing in this:

To reiterate, I am hoping to see a fantastic book come of this project after the film turns 75 and we select from the 3-4 years of work prior to that which coincides with the conception of the project.

This is not a for profit thing, if a book gets published and your photos are in it, you will not only be paid for that, but unlike those photo book publishing schemes, you will be contacted prior to any additional requests for publication of any kind.

So just think in terms of this:

Kodachrome at 75, maximum heart and soul equals a book, exhibit and a body of work with maximum impact on the coat tails of media history!
