Hi, close reading of instructions in the lenses and optics forum suggests this is the place for this post, but it may fall between the cracks. I chose this rather than the XPan forum with the notion that there might be more folks who know this lens here than in the XPan forum. Please move as you see fit.
The Viewfinder, the LHSA newsletter magazine shows that the Telyt covers 6x6 (it is longfocus, not tele construction) and shows adaptation of one unit to the Hassie (sorry, my Viewfinder stash is currently in another city, so i cannot cite the issue.)
Calculations show that the diagonal on the Hassie and the XPan should allow the Telyt to cover the XPan.
Question: Since I do not have a Telyt at hand I cannot tell whether the optical coverage would be trumped by mechanical vignetting given the rear of the Telyt tube and the greater width of the XPan frame.
Can anybody out there help?
My main interest is infinity shooting so RF connection, while nice, would not be a dominant issue.
Thanks.

Can you let us know which Telyt and roughly how old? Code number would be helpful. Although optically these lenses don't change a lot, the mechanics/tubes/mounts do.

Both the 200f4 and the 280/4.8 should more than cover a Xpan in wide mode. The trick is to get a lens mount from a Xpan lens and have a tube with a Viso fitting on one end.
I used a 200f4 on a 6x9 Linhof as well as a 280 ( tight cover at close focus on 6x9cm). The longer lenses might work, but I never tried my 400/560 on it. It was big as it was!

The telyt is a 200 f4 serial no 1830422. I don´t know what the Xpan mount looks like. Is your plan to mount the telyt on the Xpan and use an external viewfinder? I have two MOOSP extension tubes. Maybe you could convert an extension tube to a M39 - Xpan converter?
