At PMA Leica showed the new Olive M8.2 with chrome 35/2, along with the new 18/3.4, 21/1.4, 24/1.4, and 50/.95. The front element of the 18 extends beyond the filter ring, so be careful!

Dear Stephen,
As does the front element of the 21 Summilux. Only by 0.5mm or less, but enough!
They seem to regard the lens-shade as an integral part of the lens: not unreasonable, but there are always those who will want to remove them.
Cheers,
Roger

Wauv that f/0.95 looks like a big piece of glass. Does the weight equivelate the weight of the money you must part with

Hey, we'd all like to use either the 21/1.4 or 24/1.4, but the new Leica optic that most strikes my fancy is the surprise Elmar-M 24/3.8.
Come to Pappa, baby!

How many is enough?
The lenses look superb, but for a body, the best that Leica could do was revive a look from the 1940s?
