for me personally, only one, it would most likely be a summilux 1.4, the more I get into this lens, the more impressed I am and for shooting people, 1.4 is kinda the limit for me. Shallow depth of field is FAR FAR more of a limiting factor than darkness ever is, or ever could be. The main thing with the lux is the size, its a "normal" sized lens and fits in the pocket of my jacket, so goes everywhere, everyday.

I think the non Evilbay prices are very high too. One member here I know got the 100mm f/2 and it was I think $3k from a dealer. Another link here, but the cheaper version, the 5cm f/2:

The little extra reach and shallow DOF makes the 75 Lux a great portrait lens, where Shallow DOF matters and has purpose. Nice smooth bokeh also.

For hand held/low light I'd go to the 35/1.4 ASPH. With a 1/30 shutter speed I 'd get an equivilent exposure of the 50/1.0 at 1/60.

I already have the 75 lux and the 35/1.4 ASPH is my next lense. In other words: I already have a big bulky Leica lense, that has a narrow DOF, that is a bit awkward (slow focus), and that I totally love.

I didn´t read the question before voting 😱, so I gave my vote to the lens I have - and like a lot; the Canon 1,2 LTM with M-adapter. Had I done things in the proper order, I would have opted for the CV 1,2/35. Handled one on an M6 this morning. WOW.

So, where did you find those? I'm still hoping to bump into a bargain someday, but I guess there's just too many vultures scouring the internet for bargains like that...

I'm kinda hoping 'cyberspace' to be mysteriously located just around the corner from Assen, The Netherlands, so I might be able to politely borrow your lens someday for 36 frames of time 😉

BTW, is that the Canon 50mm 1.5 accompaniying the Fujinon in shot nr. 1? What's with the red mark in the barrel?

Unfortunately, I'm not located near Assen....

Yes, the Canon is next to the Sonnar, and the barrel says <EP>.
 
Although I quite like my Canon f1.2 the last couple of times I've used it I haven't been entirely happy with the results. At f1.2 the fall off in sharpness from the centre outwards is really starting to become 'the elephant in the room' for me. Looking at an image closely the other night I noticed some objects at the edge of the frame of the photo that although they were in the plane of focus were sadly blurred and distorted.

I'm actually a little surprised that the Canon 1.2 is running second in the poll to the Noctilux ... if I'd had a spare $1650.00 that Hex in the classifieds the other day would have been mine ... I thought that was very good value!
 
This fast glass is too expensive for me. It starts out expensive and just goes up due to the number sitting in collections.

The Lynx 14 is still my fastest glass until I can find something more compact and with similar quality/speed for under $100. 😉
 
I've only had the Canon 50/0.95, so I can't really vote. But I felt the DOF was so shallow that taking photos of things and people not standing still was pretty hard. That made me not use it so much, so I sold it.
