funny enough the f3 was never on my radar until quite recently. scrounging about on craigslist one night i found a titan fm2 for peanuts and though "can't say no". there was a bag full of gear and somewhere in the mix was also a f3hp... with original box etc. judging by the pressure plate and condition it saw very, very little use.
well once i took a peak through that finder i was done... hook, line and sinker. 35mm f2 ai-s and sahazam! a thing of beauty!
I'd love a Millennium Nikon rangefinder with its 50mm lens, a Mamiya RB set up (sooo cheap right now), a Mamiya C330 (also well priced currently) and an MP with a 28 Summicron. And then I'm done. Sort of. Been thinking of getting out of 4x5 (Zone VI, Linhoff Tech IV, Sinar F, Shen Hao, Crown Graphic) to raise some cash.
Great choice, I love mine. Best 35mm SLR ever in my opinion, and I have tried a lot of different cameras.
As for my wish list, I don't need anything, but i'd like a Leica M. Will be a while before I can buy anymore gear, a few yrs at least, but I'll do it eventually.
Being on this forum is driving me nuts. So many wants that I don't know where to begin.
I started getting back into film last year... LESS than a year ago now. But since then I've been through a variety of cameras. i know as far as medium format goes i like TLRs and I have a Yashica-Mat 124g, but I miss the Zeiss I had when I used a Hasselblad a bit... so that's pointing me to a Rolleiflex 2.8 Planar.
However last month I got a little rangefinder (see avatar) and I've been blown away by the picture quality in such a little compact and portable device. So a part of me is warming up to the glory that is Leica now too. But an RC is simple and cheap, I feel like there's a lot to know before hopping on the Leica train.... but that doesn't stop me from sizing up various kits at Keh.com. I think an M4P (I AM Canadian after all) and a 50mm Summilux would be HOT.
