Hi I'm new to the forum. I recently bought an M6 and
I have a 50mm cron which I use on my RD-1
Now my question is, the 50mm cron does
not pull up the correct framelines in the viewfinder instead
I get the 28- 90. I have tried my industar 22 and that
brings up the 50 framelines. so I know it's not the M6. Is this common?
does the 50mm cron need adjusting?
thanks.

You could have possibly screwed it on too far.
Look at the mount where the button is, a the button engages into the mount on the lens and it shouldnt be anywhere outside of that slot.

I see what you mean but the lens doesn't lock in. it keeps going and you can see the lever go
right over instead of staying in the middle as it should.

It's not an uncommon problem. Sometimes a certain lens won't pull the right framelines in all the way and it'll be between two positions. I don't think it's the lens but the body cam is probably off just a hair and with the tolerance on the lens cam makes the difference. Depending which way it is off you might be able to take a little off the lens cam with a fine file. Only takes a few thousands. If the right framelines come up before the 'cron is fully seated than you can take a hair off the lens cam. Then again you could probably can the M6 adjusted.

There could be some dirt or corrosion on the leading edge of the lens's bayonet cam.
