Were to buy a 35mm bulk film loader and reusable cartridges in Canada
My local shop doesnt sell them anymore but they still sell bulk film cant figure that one out

Or maybe some one here might have a loader they like to sell

Thanks You:)

I saw one at Value Village (a thrift store) a few days ago for $5.99 but the crank was broken off.

You don't say where you are in Canada, but the best place to get thsese things is photo flee markets and swaps, if you have a regular one in your area. If not:

Henry's has them and also the metal and plastic cartridges. These would be new units and kinda pricy.

From the US, cheaper even with duty, you can get bulk loaders and cartridges from Freestyle Photo or from UltrafineOnline. I get occasional shipments from both of these firms and trust them. They cater to the student market and they have reasonable prices.

Best price will likely be the big auction site, postage from the states is often less than domestic, and you can get one for under $10 or $15, so it will come in with no gst/ customs handling fee. Only problem is it is used and you won't actually see it till it arrives, but there is not a lot to go wrong with them.

David,Ive used freesyle once before great sevice but shipping is kinda high. You have to make it worth while (large order) to justify the shipping cost.

All of my four bulk loaders have come through this forum or Nelsonfoto ... express an interest in bulk loaders and someone invariably seems to have a couple laying around they're not using that they want very little for ... surely someone in Canada has a couple they don't use any more! :)

I got my two loaders from ebay. One was brand new, and I think I payed $10 + shipping (from inside Canada).

Here in Vancouver Leo's stocks the AP ones. You can't buy directly online but you can call or email one of the sales people.
Kerrisdale Cameras might have them too. Not sure because I don't go there very much these days.

Beau Photo off of Granville in Van also stocks the Bobinquick.... Hundred bucks Canadian. Which is what, uh, hang on, uh, two dollars and forty cents USD these days?:D

It wasn't that long ago that the US dollar was weaker then ours. It's funny, for that time period all those jokes stopped :D

Astro, I went back and looked at the loader again, the crank hadn't broken off... it had never been assembled. Sending you a PM now...

Frank,

If you find one on the Bay or other US source, just do the usual. I'll be up in June if not before. I owe you a Trius anyway.

Ive had a few offers from generous RRF members to help me get a loader.
