Hello!
I have a small problem with my new Fed 2 model D4: a small dot of light seems to appear in the right corner of my negative frames. Always in the same place, aproximatively the same size. The curtain seems intact (the camera itselfs is in good shape) and I never take out my camera from its leather case when I take pictures. I only used this camera for a couple of rolls (Foma action - ISO 400), specially at noon (when the sun is bright) with 1/250 or 1/500 speeds.
Do you have any suggestions?
Thanks!

Looks very much like a pinhole in one of the curtains. Shine a bright torch onto them, one at a time, looking from the opposite side.

Thank you very much for your replies! Does this mean that I have to replace the curtain?

Judging from the size of the leak, I think you probably will have to replace the curtain. Oleg at:

Are the pictures enlarged versions of the problem area only (and not the whole frame)? I'm asking this because the message says corner and the spot on the pics is in teh center.
If it is, it might be small enough to fix whith fabric paint.

I'm not an expert in these (I'm just repairing my first FSU-camera myself), but I think that might be just a pinhole that could be repaired with fabric paint.
You have to find it firs though. As someone suggested, take the lens off, take the back off and point the front to a strong light. Now look to the back. You should see a tiny bright spot somewhere. That's the pinhole. If it's just a pinhole... Larger hole should be easier to find.
You will have to check both curtains so you need to check it firs shutter cocked and then release the shutter and check it again.
Although the fabric paint can be used to fix it, the vulcanized rubber in th curtains could be dried out. That means that there could be more holes some time in the future.
Oh... The picture will form to the film upside down, so the hole should bein the upper right corner when looking from the back of the camera (I think).
