Friends....just received my canon 7s with 0.95 50mm for BIN eby.. but im afraid i dont understand the use of the lightmeter,
I know it has H and Low setting for out/ondoor photos, but looking around I cant find some instructions about its use, i mean where the needle must be, etc. etc..
Any advices about instruction manual or how use it..will be very apreciatted.
Best.
Bob.

You also need to find an appropriate battery to run the silicon meter. Originally designed to use a mercury battery, you will have to find one of the zinc-air batteries, or a converter that uses silver-based batteries, in order for the meter to function.

Dan and dexdog...thanks so much...I appreciate your time... the lighmeter is ok, cause when i swicht to check, the needle goes to the blue zone, and i thinks this means the battery is OK..

It's a CDS cell, the Canon 7s came out years before Silicon Photo cells were used. Watch the sensitivity at the extremes.

Watch that step!
Congrats Rob!
Your gonna like that combo
*I have the Canon 7S manual copied someplace* I have to burn it to a CD for you.....it`s a pretty uncommon to rare manual, hardly ever offered for sale, I sold the one I had I think for $75?
Tom
PS: How`s your Xenon doing? You should really start using that lens alot down there, it`s a great "art" lens
