M6 with M3 advance lever

Hi all,

Since I got my M6 Classic (black) I have this question on my mind. Why the camera has an advance lever like the M3? Can you help me on this?

I replaced all the levers on my M4 to M3 style. It's just a matter of taste and preference. I also have an MD-2 (I think that is the model). It is basically an M4 without the finder/RF. What is interesting though is the advance is M3 style not M4. I think Leica believed the all metal advance better for industrial use. Its more robust and easier to keep clean in different environments.

Yes, some photographers prefer the old style M3/2, MP advance levers to the two part M6 type.
