Any info on Balda Super Baldinette?

Hi!

I was referred here by my pro shop guy to see if anyone might have any information on a vintage camera that I have recently aquired from my mum.

It's a Balda Super Baldinette, and all I could really interpret from online searching is that it was likely manufactured in 1951. It has "West Germany" stamped into the the back metal. It has a Prontor SV shutter and a Enna-Werk Munchen Ennit f/2.8 lens. Also it has the original leather screw on case. The lens appears to be in good shape, and the viewfinder is pretty foggy. I've shot a half a roll of film with it, but don't yet know what they'll look like. You can see a couple of shots of it here:

I've never used one of the Balda folding 35mm cameras. I've owned/own several folding medium format and fixed lens 35mm.
Overall, I find Balda a very solid brand. Not usually spectacular, but good workmanlike gear.
The Ennit lenses are 4 element designs and are good performers. Being a "Super" your rangefinder is coupled so use will be pretty simple. Now all you need is a meter or sunny 16.

Thanks! I've been metering with my digital slr, because I don't have a handheld, but had never heard of the sunny 16 rule. Thanks for that tip!

I have a Balda Baldix which is the 120 medium format big brother of this camera. The Baldinette must be absolutely tiny because the Baldix is already smaller than most 35mm SLRs. I bet you can put that thing in your pocket! I'd love to have a 35mm Balda. I really like this camera and I bet the 35mm is just as nice. Sorry I don't have any more info, but I bet you'll like your results.
