New Color For Twin Lens Reflex

Al, I have met you, I know you. You need some color. How about Back Alley's bright blue, although the doobie green sounds good too.

ZEBRA Look! Stand out in the jungle of TLR's and become a future victim of lion attack.

Al, you could go Mondrian or Rubik's Cube and use different colors all over.

Going all one color is almost as conformist as going all black, I say.

Here's a nice Yashica I've had for a while (on sale in the classifieds, needs to go on the block now):

I finally finished getting off all of the Vulcanite or artificial leather or whatever it was on my 1959 Minolta Autocord. The black paint trim is still halfway decent but the Vulcanite was all cracked and flaking off. Cameraleather.com has some black replacement coverings that match or come close to matching the original. They also have lots of colors and exotic leathers. I'm not likely to spring for an expensive lizard skin but just a nice solid color might be fun.

Does anybody have any suggestions as to what color might "look cool" or stand out in a crowd? I'm not in the least concerned about people thinking me a bit odd. I'm well past that point...LOL

Thanks for your suggestions, folks!

Go totally retro and leave it naked, just as it is now. Guarantee you'll look odd, but then you don't mind, do you? :)

Al, based on your rep, a little steel wool and sandpaper to roughen up the bare metal should do the trick. Those leather coverings are for pussies and Dentists w Leicas (DWLs).

Somehow this thread got revived after several weeks! Thanks for all your answers. In the meantime I got an offer I couldn't refuse and the camera has been shipped off to its new owner, as is and naked as a jaybird. I'm back to using my Rolleiflex T as my bigger-than-35mm camera.
