I have some questions here. Considering the fact that the original pen lenses were designed for half frame, would that eliminate the 2x crop factor when used with the ep1 ? In other words, a 35 would still be a 35 ?
Unfortunately, no. Whatever the focal length the lens is, will be effectively doubled.

The half-frame Pens' frame size is not the same as u4/3 & 4/3, which are effectively 1/4 frame. That is, if you take the original Pens' frame and divide it in half, that's u4/3.

True. The 20mm Pen lens, on a Pen FT, is has a ~28mm field of view (about 1.4x crop factor.) On the m4/3 cameras, it's a 40mm field of view (2x crop factor.)

So how is this working out then--are vintage Pen lenses working well for m4/3 owners? Do they handle well, etc? Have prices for them gone through the roof?

I'm just happy to see someone get this correct. It doesn't double the focal length just the crop factor.True. The 20mm Pen lens, on a Pen FT, is has a ~28mm field of view (about 1.4x crop factor.) On the m4/3 cameras, it's a 40mm field of view (2x crop factor.)

They work well for me, my favorites are the 38/1.8, 40/1.4, and the 38/3.5 Macro.
