Whenever I turn on my M7 it shows 1600 ISO whether it is DX or manually set. With 400 ISO film in DX it actually meters like a 1600 ISO. Not good. When I set ISO manually at 400 ISO it meters correctly even though it says 1600 when I turn it on. Do I have a repair problem? What gives?

We have a television set like that. Regardless of the volume it was at when turned off, when switched on it blares at full volume. An electronics problem, of course.

Have you tried moving the DX dial around and around and back and forth a few times? Seems to cure most DX reader problems I ever have.

I have the new DX sensor. sepiareverb, I tried what you said. Still same problem. At least one I set ISO manually at 400 (even though the LED shows 1600) it stills meters accurately but not in DX.

I also try to wipe off the DX contacts with my index finger when I load films, though I don't know if that helps or not. Sounds like a visit to NJ is in order.

Yes, something wrong. I've had 2 M7's but no such problem.

Now it has stopped and works fine. I used a photo cloth and cleaned the sensors, that might have helped or maybe I just put the film in more snugly. If I do send it in I am happy I have my Nikon setup.
