Hi All!

I'm new in Leica RFs. My long waited wish realized as i became an M6 TTL owner yesterday. Unfortunately just the body, no lenses.
Since i not experienced in it, could You tell me please the following:
How the frame preselector should work if no lenses attached to the body.
The frame preselector in my M6 can be moved, however not sticking on the middle and the end positions and i can see all the 3 frames. Maybe it is just since a lense is not attached?
How sould it work?
I appreciate Your support. Thanks in advance.

That's normal. It's just to preview different focal lengths. When you attach a lens it will remain in the right place.

Enjoy your camera!

BTW it's very hard to read your dark grey writing!

Jack.

Yeah, what did he say???

I think light pink is better than black.

For those of us with white background the writing is black and not hard at all to read! :)

Which illustrates nicely why playing around with colours in your posting may be a bad idea if you want other people to read it. :)

Sorry for the color, here is the text.... :)

Thanks in advance, Jack. May i have an additional question: Will it work with Nokton lens too?

Thanks in advance,

In short: Yes.

In more detail: How it works depends on the particular Nokton. A Nokton 35 will bring up the 35 framelines. A Nokton 40 will bring up the 50 framelines, but can be modified very easily to bring up the (more useful) 35 framelines instead that correspond quite qell to its field of view. The Nokton 50 is a screw mount lens that needs an adapter anyway; frameline selection depends on the adapter (there are 28/90, 50/75 and 35/135 adapters).

Yeah. It should do. The only reason it might do something funny is if it's a strange focal length. I've never tried, so I don't know what would come up.
