M4-P plastic rewind shaft/fork

hi guys,

unfortunately, my M4-P has a broken rewind shaft/fork.

to cut the story short, i'm looking for a spare for the rewind shaft. are there any other places i could get the replacement? i tried DAG but they don't have one..

is it possible to fix/replace the shaft without opening the top plate? or better off sending the camera for a replacement/CLA?

Unless you are good at fixing cameras, I would have someone do it for you.

A Leica repairer who is also a friend said he could fix mine after I had dropped the camera but he said he'd have to take the whole top off and replace it with a new one.

I now use it with its slightly bent shaft.

Hope you can get yours fixed.

I bought a new shaft directly from Leica U.K. it wasn't too expensive. The bad news is that you must remove the top plate to fit it...!
