first two rolls

As I told you in new members / introduction, got Zeiss Ikon lately (a week ago). Here are a couple of shots from my first two rolls.

bw film was kodak bw400cn - BW C-41 negative, color portra NC 400

lens used zeiss 1.5/50 ZM sonnar - I was suprised by the lens performance, looks like as if it was 2 lenses in one (smooth and creamy wide open), sharp, contrasty and detailed with 3d like rendering from f5.6...

Very nice, thanks for sharing. I love #2 (great scan, too!) and 5.

Have you tried cropping #4? I think the center third (from the people to the small tree) in vertical orientation would be very dramatic.

The color rendition of the Zeiss lens is excellent , but the B&W is gorgeous! I have never tried the Kodak CN but will now. Thanks.

Love that first shot. Oh and did you mean a ZM Sonnar 50 as suppose to Biogon?

yes, that was a typo... this was shot by zm sonnar C 1.5/50

being a child of digital photography i really appreciate film one... the number of shots available on film makes you think before pressing the shutter...
which is sometimes opposite of dSLR photography

I like the first and the last one. Each of them would have worked in a series I guess, but arranged like this they're a little boring with most of them being shot from the same angle. Maybe try to vary a little.
