Hi Guyz:
When taking B+W , do any of you use Silver EX pro to switch to B+W or some other type of software.
2) I ahve the Zeiss 35\f2 any idea why this lens is not coded and does it help with framing
Stupid ? i know..just have my M8.2 for just over 5 mthsand still learning

hello eddy
yes, silver efex is IMHO perfect for b+w conversions. you might be able to get a trial version and test it on your own images.
coding your zeiss 35 - you might want to contact some of the camera repair people (CLA work) named in the forum to have the six slots milled into your lens flange. searching on the forum may help you to determine which coding (summicron, summilux) works best with your lens.
good luck
rick

Leica's lens coding system is proprietary to Leica, so other M mount lens manufacturers aren't allowed to use it. There are people out there who make kits to code your lenses yourself, but I have never used one, and I can't speak to how good of a job they do.

As to Silver Efex Pro, I love it! It is the closest thing I have ever seen to a darkroom on a computer. Almost all of the B&W on my flickr page in my sig was done with it.

Thanks rickp & Merkin:
I will donload the trial for silver ex pro and try it
As for the coding ..i think i will leave the lens the way is...getting used to itand the framing so no worries here..
Thanks again fellas
