Mint condition, still has cloth desiccant package and plastic wrapping.
No fungus or dust, but it does have oil on the aperture blades.

No camera in sight though, and it looks like the lens may have never been mounted.

So now that I have this beautiful lens, what would you do?

Buy a S mount camera?

Sell or trade it?

Bessa R2s or S2

Trade for a medium format SLR?

Also is it possible to get a Kiev 4A to focus properly with this lens?

If it is a bayonet mount, look for a 'C' on the side of the lens. If it has that, it will focus on a Contax or Kiev. If it does not have the 'C', it is S-Mount and will not focus on the Contax/Kiev body.

If it is chrome, it is the more common lens. If it is black, it is rare and will fetch 2x the money.

Buying a body for it is not cheap, but Nikon RF lenses and bodies are a joy to use. Prices on S3's are way-down. I would look for a user S3 for the 8.5cm F2. It has etched framelines for the 10.5cm lens, close-enough for the 8.5cm and have a safety margin.

It's Nikkor. S mount chrome.
It has a tag that says 1955.

Why S3 vs S2? It seems like S2's are going for 300-400. Does the S2 have frame lines that are close?

Would an 85mm kiev finder work on an S2?

Thanks guys

Hi,
Give us the juicy details, how much did you pay?
Yes a Kiev 85mm finder would work.
The S2 only has 50mm frame-lines.
I would try in on a Kiev if I had a Kiev...
Just make sure you stop down to F5.6 and avoid close subjects.
