I was in Amsterdam over the summer and did some medium format street shooting. Some is tourism as well.

I've found it challenging to use this camera for street stuff bc of the cumbersome autofocus. Though I've tried stopping down the lens and dialing in a preset distance and that seemed to work better (no shutter lag).

Lovely group of shots, the fujinon has a nice subtle way of rendering images.
A little o/t, but I've been thinking of dumping my backup DSLR (10D with grip) for a 645i. My reasoning is that the 10d never gets used as it is, but I'd love to throw some MF into the mix for clients as a different look and maybe sell some wet prints.
Would anyone else consider letting a 645i share bag space with a 5D for available light commercial work, or am I nuts?

I think the 5D would hold its own very nicely against the Fuji. If you're shooting static objects, no difference between the two.
The 645's f/4 won't really get you so far in available light. However with the electronic shutter you can make up for this by being able to shoot the 645i down to ~ 1/10 sec. You also still get a grainless negative using 800z. So if the price is right, why not try it.

Does the i handle AF completely different than the Zi (and the majority of small format AF compacts)? Unless it does, you can half-press the shutter to AF lock to some replacement target at the estimated distance.

I've noticed some noise in a few pics, which made me curious. What ISO setting did you use for these photos? I've found the BW400CN look much nicer if over exposed a little. As a rule, I go shoot with ISO 250-320 setting on my meter.
