Does Bessa Side Grip fit into RD-1?

Does Bessa Side Grip fit into RD-1? I've seen in CQ and I would like to buy one.

Is it worth having a grip with RD-1?

I doubt it, as the R2A is thinner than the R-D1. I have the grip and the R-D1 and will try it in the next day or two (i won't be home till late tonight). In terms of having a grip on the R-D1, I have a half case with the grip built into the case and it is pretty nice, although depending on the size of your hands it can start to feel a little bulky. Whenever I go back to my bessa I realize how small that thing really is.

I've tried .... there are several interferences in the grip base and the R-D1 is thicker.

I've been trying to order one Luggi's case with that useful grip, but, unfortunately, he is very bussy at this time of the year and no answer has been sent back. 🙁

Since Joe is in the secretive mood, I can tell you that the picture is of his R-D1s with a Bridge Grip. A grip which also fits the FM2/F3/FM3A etc. Sold on evilbay, for a rather hefty 140 bucks, but is evidently very well made. Joe has two (they also come in red and blue)

Love the Zhou 1/2 case. $65 or so on eBay. Fits a bit snug at first.
