Folks, couldn't resist and bought this from a fellow Leica buddies in Singapore. According to him, it's a Shintaro black paint and this one is a crackled black paint. Not sure if anyone else got this same finish from him? Camera is also CLA'd by DAG.

Anyway, here's some shots!! I love the viewfinder!! Can't wait to shoot some films. Will be using Sunny16 while my friend confirmed whether his MR4 is working.

1.1mil m3 with ****aro bp, I guess unless you can get a original bp m3, you won't see anything better than this.

One of my M4P's has been done in the same finish. It was looking a bit beaten up (and it was) - had a Rapidwinder done in matching finish too. Gives a nice "grip" to it all.

Tom, you should be an expert on Shintaro's works. Post some pics of your M4P. I love this finish over Robert's repaint for sure.
