whats wrong with my M8 (upgraded) dial?

8000 is missing and I have a 8s on my dial.

Got this set preowned. It was sent in by previous owner for an upgrade. Shutter and sapphire glass.

The new shutter is more quiet but you lost the 1/8000. That's the price.

It resembles an M9 dial. The M8.2 has "S" (simple) mode, loses the 8 second long exposure time. In the M9 they put Simple mode in a menu instead (not sure how wise that was...what if someone who needs S mode can't find it? 😀)

It IS an M9 dial. Must have run out of M8.2 dials.

Or, maybe it's the hoped for M8 to M9 upgrade! 😉

the first answer was correct, the M8 shutter upgrade fastest speed is 1/4000s. They replace the dial with a new dial when you upgrade. So, to answer your question, there's nothing wrong with your M8.
