I went to flea market this morning in Dublin, and between old broken cameras my eye cought this device (I wasn't familiar with it before), after reading label I asked him is it working, he said he doesn't know, I took it anyway (for 5eur).

At home I put new battery (from my Bronica ETRSi) and it didn't worked, so I looked carefully again in the battery compartment and discovered that I fitted battery in opposite way :bang:. Turned it aroung and VOILA!

I'm amazed how accurate it is, I'm also surprised at the prices on ebay!!!

I guess is one of those great bargains you get few times in the lifetime :D.

Peter.

Congratulations on you brilliant bargain hunting skills.
I'm sure I payed £500 for my Zone VI modified version 10 years ago.
It's a meter to treasure for life.

Congratulations. I think I will be out for one of these in a while. I have checked your blog btw - nice photos there!

Ha! that's a good deal. I got one for $50 a few years ago, also not knowing what it was (I bought a Hasselblad and the seller offered to throw in a meter for $50). I have since sold it for $200 so it was a good investment.

I have been using a Pentax digital spotmeter for over 15 years now. It is a great teaching tool to learn how to arrive at appropriate exposures for difficult situations.

What a great find!

thanks guys,

now I have to learn how to use it, never had spot meter before, Roger thanks for good link...

this fellow had also Nikon F with some old 3.5cm f2.8, but it was blocked, I couldn't release the shutter or wind it, there were also some old cine cameras... have to go back there next month.

it's the thing about flea markets, people don't know what the are selling...

Peter.
