Hello all,
Recently picked up my first Leica -- an M2 with 50mm rigid summicron. Its a delight to use -- so smooth and quiet. Although the camera is in excellent condition overall, I notice a couple spots in the focus patch. The viewfinder itself is very clean, and the focus patch is bright with good contrast.
If I shine a bright light through the illumination window at the front, the spots actually look like they may be small bubbles. (Its possible to see light through the center of each one.) I was wondering if this is a common occurence on old M cameras. Does it seem likely that having it cleaned would eliminate these spots?
I appreciate any feedback / advice in regard to this!
