black paint m4 question

so-- i have a black paint m4 - on the list . 12475xx number .well worn condition .

my question -- i know the shutter speed dial and round part of the rewind are anodized aluminum .

the back appears original - however the surround looks like black chrome .
from ones for sale -- the later ones appear alike in finish .

any info -- input - opinions -- helpful .

I'm sure someone here can help but it's not entirely clear just what your question is. Consider posting a picture to help illustrate.

Run a few rolls through it. That's what it's all about. And try to keep it in the shade as much as possible so as not to bake the film.
