Oh.. I'm so very confused.. To buy or not to buy.. cons and pros.. I like it @ f1 and maybe f2, but any lower then that hmm.. it just looks a bit average. Then again I newer used one. I love the luxury look @ f1 similar to 75lux (when you get that focus right), so maybe I should just get 75lux, or wait when 0.95 ASPH prices will come down to 5k 🙂

You will probably find that as you stop down all 50mm lenses look average. Stopped down practically all of them are good, Industar-61 and Noctilux alike. It's special only wide open, because stopped down it's rather difficult to be special.

I'm a night person, but f1.0 is not that important to me, as I love using iso1600 b/w film.

I shot at f1.0 for the look. Simply love it. Not all the time, but love it.

All cars run the same at 20km/hr, toyota or porsche. Only you know if you need 300+ horsepower.

I was a night person until I got married 🙂 , but I know what you mean.. I mostly want to use it for a portraiture.. I think women will like the rendering and softness of this lens, on the other hand I think they would hate sharpness of the 50 lux asph..

I can see it's special lens @1.0, but in haven I would like to have something special and also versatile on my new MP, as the first and only lens.. I know I don't ask for much 🙂
