Hi,
I've just been looking up some times on the Kodak website for pushing Tri-X to 3200.
The time given for D76 is 11 mins. Could i swap this time straight to ID11 (my usual developer)? Is it correct that the two are basically the same formula?
Cheers.

It should work, but you will have to do some tests. Are you deliberately trying for the big grain pushing Tri-X in ID11 or is it just low light shooting that you need the speed for? If it's low light, you'll probably have more success with less grain with Acufine or DDX than a D-76 type developer.

The best camera is one that still works!
I've shot Tri-X at 3200 and developed in Xtol 1+1 ... plenty of contrast as one would expect but less grain than I expected!

Its mainly for low light that i want the speed for, but the extra grain and contrast is welcome too. I had ordered a batch of Tmax 3200, but it has not arrived in time, so plan B it is. I asked about the ID11 because i have plenty of it, though i think i have some Microphen also.

Try Rodinal @ 1:100 for 2-3hours. Much lower contrast. I do this a lot with both Foma400 and Legacy400 @1600.

You should get similar results from D76 and ID11. That said, Tri-X pushed to 3200 is going to suck compared to tmax 3200 or delta 3200. Since you're stuck with Tri-X because your Tmax 3200 hasn't come on time, you might try Tmax Developer as it was made for pushing. I've not pushed Tri-X with it, but I have pushed Tmax 400 to 1600 with Tmax Developer with very nice tonality and grain.

Tri-x @ 3200 in Rodinal 50:1 for 33 minutes. Minimal agitation.
