Been looking at this camera to use as a daily shooter, to replace my Nokia N95 phone. How's the image quality; does it suffer because of the toughness?

the 35mm lens on the Stylus Epic is consider by many, including myself, to be an excellent optic.

Uh...yeah, not the epics...
word it they are just like any other digital point and shoots. Small but not up to the task of high image quality if that is what you are looking for. But coming from a phone, it will blow your N95 away.

average image quality, much better than your n95 though. For point and shoots with microscopic sensors, it's my opinion that the panasonic and the canons are the best in regards to image quality. I'd get either one of their tough models instead.

Toughness... I dropped my Stylus Epic (MjuII) on the ground twice the same night. The second time it went to oblivion. Not tough enough.
