Nice pictures and welcome Kai. Quite a coincidence by the way. I bought my R-D1 from a friend called Kai, with surname initial W.

Quite a coincidence indeed! Thank you for the compliments.
It never actually occurred to me that the above post was also my first post in RFF...what have I been doing over the last 3 years?!

Loving this thread, there are some great images here. Here are a couple of my own, shot with an R-D1S with Canon 50mm f1.2 LTM:

back alley, lovely photo. I also enjoy the fact that I know just where it was taken. I'm always glad to see others documenting this city!

BAck Alley: nice one too! it's ice I suppose?
Johnmcd: great pics as usual; the CV 1.4 really shows its class and you know how to use it (far better than what I could do myself!)

Wow, the R-D1 really makes some nice pictures. Great work everybody.
I would buy one, if the price was not a bit too high for me at this moment. For the price of a used R-D1 one body, I bought a brand new ZM and M-Hex 50/2 (both from eBay) and have enough money over, to pay for film this year.
So I'll stick to my new ZM for now. But the R-D1 made the shortlist for the next camera I'll buy.
