I know how much you jokers like to spend money on bags, so I am passing along this link to Photojojo's new line of bags. Not really my style, but I do like the overall design. I'd probably be interested if it were half as expensive and available in olive drab canvas. But here you go:

I think a few of the Nautical Reds scattered about the deck of my yacht would certainly improve the ambience for my next run down to Tortola.

Can't beat having a few $20 bags around loaded with various kits.

If you're looking for cheap bags, might I suggest a visit to a local (if you happen to have one) camera show? There is generally a dealer's table piled high with camera bags, often new 'brand' bags (I have a Polaroid-logo bag) that go for a couple bucks each. You can leave with a dozen bags for $40 USD, all nice padded ones that are purpose-designed to hold cameras.

I use a VERY similar bag that is a repro of a civil war Federal officers' private purchase knapsack, in black painted canvas. Large single compartment, I just stuck a slightly modified Domke insert in it for padding.

Works great, looks good. The only comments I typically get are from reenactors - "hey, isn't that..."

Think of it less as a camera bag and more as guaranteed theft repellent.

These people also sell a device that balances your camera for you (but looks suspiciously like a spirit level), and a strap with which to secure your camera on a helmet. Y'know, 'cos sometimes riding your bike in rush hour traffic, talking on your cel-phone, taking a picture, and looking like one of Dexy's Midnight Runners all at the same time can be too much to juggle!.
