Is it crazy? A summicron 35 v 1 went for $3950

no, not really. People pay big money for collector pieces. This gal has sold many many rare and pricey collectibles. I wonder how she/he got hold of them at the first place.
 
is that the woman who bought up a bunch of equipment and surplus parts when they closed the Midland facility? if it is the person i'm thinking of, i think she got one of their engraving machines too.
i've seen her auction rare stuff, like a green paint M3 that didn't look very genuine to me, but someone paid big bucks for it. she seems to get a lot of these V1 Summicrons though, this is at least the 5th or 6th NOS one i've seen her sell.
