So I primarily shoot 28, 50 & 90. I love my ZI and my R2a. Lately I've been thinking a better combination might be the ZI + R3. The ZI being the more all around body, the R3 the "long" lens and backup camera. Open to comments.
How is the R3 with a 90mm vs. the ZI?
Overall feeling of the R3 viewfinder vs. the ZI?
In a pinch, how will the R3 do with a 28mm without an external viewfinder? I just think the lens has to block a large part of the vf?
Is the shutter sound of an R3a identical to an R2A?
Any thoughts on the size/contrast of the R3 focusing patch, particularly vs the R2?
Thanks for your insight.

Well... the R3A and R2A are identical except for the viewfinder magnification... as for using the R3A for 28mm, I'd say forget about it... I wouldn't even use it for 35mm if you want accurate framing although some do. I can't speak for anything comparing it to the ZI as I've never used one, but I do love my R3A for 75mm and 90mm.

I think your current ZI and R2a combo is best. The ZI will be more accurate focusing a 90 with it's longer EBL.

I used 90mm purely on my ex R3A. Whilst other cameras will still offer better focus accuracy, it's great because of the frame size. Fantastic for taking portraits, even casual ones as it is easier to have 2 eyes open due to the 1:1 viewfinder mag.
