Ilford 3200 vs. T-Max 3200

The only one that surprises me -a little bit- is the 3200... But both Tri-X and TMax400 push very well, so... And low light pros shoot digital: no reason to keep it going, I guess...

I remember when I was a photography student and Delta 3200 came... In the last ten or twelve years I tried it and Tmax 3200 several times, and with different developers, but never felt really happy with any of them... I just couldn't say why... Maybe because of the kind or size of grain (I like Fuji Neopan P1600)... Maybe I just don't need too often to go above 1600 even in low light...

My bad!

My bad!

Moot point. Stock up on Kodak Tmax 3200. It's DEAD! No more. Kodak killed it.

I know not all of you frequent APUG, so I thought this was worth linking too:

FWIW, TMZ is not on the chopping block. Yet. At least officially. Go order some.

I apologize. I'm the first to try to debunk Internet rumors. I read an earlier post on APUG that misquoted Kodak. Long live Tmax 3200. I'm stocking up. In my limited experience, Tmax 3200 in Xtol 1:3 doesn't display the ginormous grain that I see from other developers or Delta 3200. I do wish it were available in 120.

Once again. Sorry. Tmax 3200 is alive and well.

It'd be nice if we could just agree not to repeat rumors.

For starters, when Kodak discontinues something, they announce it ahead of time very publicly. There's no reason to start spreading unconfirmed rumors as if nobody is going to know otherwise.
