Hi - I have a Nikon 75-150 that has stiff focussing when moved from close distances to infinity, but not when in the other direction. I'd like to dismantle it and see if I and try to fix it.
Any of you have any experience with this lens or similar nikon zooms?
Thanks in advance
David

My advice: DON'T
I used to have a friend who had a camera repair shop and I saw plenty of zooms in pieces on his workbench. Incomprehensively complex. You'll never get it back together again. Pay a professional, or if the lens is not worth the cost of the repair, buy another lens.

My advice: DON'T ...
Or if you do, be sure and use a big enough hammer.

Rule of thumb for cleaning and repairing lenses: Manual primes, no problem. Anything else, you're crazy to even attempt it.
