computar = beseler color pro = hoya super el

I made an observation today, surfing Evilbay for lenses. The Beseler Color Pro 50/2.8 is a re-badged computar DL 50/2.8. This is obviously something I read in Post Exposure by Ctein. But... the Hoya super EL seems to be exactly the same from pictures. The same lettering on the front, the same Computar style bubble. I can't imagine that they aren't re-badges computars, and they go very cheap if you can find them! Game on!🙂

And there are also beseler color pro 75mm f/4.5, hoya super el 75mm f/4.5 and computar 75mm f/4.5 lenses!
